Kate The Midwife
I am a Certified Professional Midwife licensed in the state of Texas working in the greater Austin area. As a home birth midwife, I am deeply humbled by the trust families place in me and strive to provide the highest level of care.
My journey into midwifery began in 2017. I love my work. I am reminded everyday of the strength of the human spirit, the unlimited capacity we have to grow and the beauty of the rawness in our lives. My training includes both the home setting and high volume birth center in Texas and California.
Midwife Michelle
My midwifery journey started as a doula more than 12 years ago. I went on to serve hundreds of families as a birth assistant, as a student midwife and then a staff midwife at the Austin Area Birth Center.
Midwifery is a calling, one that found me when I had my sweet babies. I believe in the profound impact of this work on families and the community and on myself.
I joined Central Texas Midwifery in early 2024 and I truly love it.
Scout Chavers is a dedicated midwifery student with over a decade of experience as a birth worker in the Austin area. She has spent the last three years training as a home birth midwife, learning, absorbing and deepening her belief in the importance of informed and conscious choices regarding health and care. With a background as a professional artist, Scout draws inspiration from her lineage of strong matriarchs who instilled in her a deep appreciation for the transformative power of birth. As a student, Scout values the opportunity to observe and learn from midwifery practices that she respects, feeling immense gratitude for the chance to be present during life’s most beautiful moments.
